" MENAM is a French band playing complex Progressive Metal. They were formed about 7 years ago, and this is their first CD. They are your typical Prog. Metal, sometimes reminding me of SYRINX or a POWER OF OMENS. Instrumental it all sounds very impressive, but vocally (David Moussion) has some troubles keeping up with the tempo changes of each song. I am not saying this is a weak Prog. Metal CD, because the average progmetalfreak will definitely like MENAM, but they are not up there with recent new releases of DREAMSCAPE, SUN CAGED or to mention the best, DREAM THEATER. This is just a good deal of standard ProgMetal, with as best songs "La Nation Hybride", "Eclat de lumiere" and the instrumental "Anakrousis". The band sings in both the French and English language, and are good enough to check out if you're a big Progmetalfan."
